Kat is a versatile content creator, lover of people and friendly as heck! :) Her experiences are broad-based. She's currently working on growing her personal Instagram as an influencer (check out all of her foodie/plus size fashion/music and positive vibe filled adventures at @thekatchats!).
She previously worked as a remote stylist for rapidly growing subscription box clothing company for sizes 12-32 nationwide, Dia&Co. She built a solid base of clients while there, and was a notable top performing stylist within the company.
Kat previously worked for the NBC/CW affiliates in Dayton, Ohio as the associate producer for the Miami Valley's only lifestyle/entertainment show "Living Dayton," as well as working as a promotions (topical) producer for 2NEWS. While at WDTN, Kat was a "jack of all trades," dabbling in everything from line producing, booking/coordinating segments, social media managing, helping supervise interns, to editing/producing videos under very tight deadlines.
She also previously worked at News 12 Long Island in Woodbury, N.Y. She started out freelancing as a Production Assistant, which turned into a full-time position. During her time there, she worked on special assignments with the Special Projects producer, including field producing the 2013 Suffolk State of the County live show, associate producing the live hour-long talk show "The Next Big One", as well as working as the Assistant to the Producer for Island Vote 2012, where she helped coordinate and book over 40 half hour local political debate shows airing on News 12 Interactive, and even interviewed N.Y. state senator Kirsten Gillibrand!
She's also worked as a food and arts reporter and social media manager of Spoleto Today in Charleston, S.C., home to The Post and Courier's extended Spoleto USA Festival coverage.
In social media, Kat successfully conducted several interviews and produced the official $1.6 million capital campaign internet-ready video for the Rosamond Gifford Zoo (Syracuse, N.Y.).
Kat has interned at both local and national TV stations, including CNN for its "CNN Heroes" program (New York City), WSYR-TV (Syracuse, N.Y.) and WFSB-TV (Hartford, C.T.).
In print, she's been published in The Post and Courier (Charleston, S.C.), Syracuse New Times (Syracuse, N.Y.) as well as The Post-Standard (Syracuse, N.Y.) She has her own food blog, "Kat Eats..." where she finds great places to eat and drink in her travels (link in menu above).
Kat has a deep passion for the arts, and fosters that passion through singing, as well as taking in live theater/concert performances on Long Island and in NYC!
